Some of my favorite projects have started as nothing more than a random thought...
an idea that popped into my head on one of my nature walks (aka my entrepreneur brainstorming sesh), while sipping coffee on the couch, or even while strolling the thrift store.
Creativity is weird like that. Sometimes it flows effortlessly, and other times… crickets!! We've all been there right?! I know it's not just me.
Whenever I feel stuck, I love checking out what other makers and creatives are up to.
Because that's what social media is for, right?! Being social, feeling inspired, connection.
Last spring, I challenged myself to crochet something totally different than my normal beanies & customer orders...I made not one, not two, but THREE summer sweaters!!
P.s. This is not my pattern, I found a lovely youtube tutorial from a very talented maker! (The third sweater I did freestyle after learning from the tutorial on the first two.)
It was such a fun break from my usual projects and reminded me how exciting it is to experiment and try something new.
Whether you’re learning a new stitch, a totally new type of product, or just switching up your colors, a little change can do wonders for creativity.
Seeing what others create, trying out a new technique, or even just chatting with fellow creatives always sparks something in me!
One of my goals this past year has been to be more social on social media (because that's what it's for.. right!).
I decided to ask other makers to share their go-to spring crochet patterns (whether theirs or someone else's they've loved) so we can all discover something new and refreshing for the seasons ahead!
So, if you’re looking for a fun new project to work on this spring or summer, check out the list below!
These patterns are all designed by makers I personally connect with on Instagram—whether we've been IG friends for a while or I just internet know them and trust their work.
Also, if you're drawn to any of these makers, please give them a follow as well! They are not only so talented, but also wonderful human beings that I feel so blessed to be connected to!
And if you're still looking for more inspiration, I’ll also include a list of ideas you can search for on Etsy or other pattern platforms at the bottom!
